Everyone deserves to breathe smoke free air.

Share your thoughts on secondhand smoke....

Every year, hundreds of South Carolinians die from exposure to secondhand smoke. According to the US Surgeon General, even brief exposure to secondhand smoke is harmful with immediate adverse health effects. Unfortunately, many workers in our community experience prolonged exposure to secondhand smoke in the workplace which presents even greater health risks and in some cases death. The facts are clear: there is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke. Secondhand smoke causes heart disease, lung cancer, and other very serious health problems.
