A free comprehensive tobacco treatment service for all South Carolina residents featuring phone and Internet counseling. Available 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.




Great Start – American Legacy Foundation
Toll-free Quitline (1-866-66-START) operated by the American Legacy Foundation, provides free counseling to pregnant smokers. Offers an educational booklet, developed by Smoke-Free Families, a program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that works to improve smoking cessation rates during pregnancy.

Also features an informative website that helps women quit and stay quit after their babies are born.



Carolinas Hospital System Free Smoking Cessation Class (Every Tuesday)
Let us help you kick your smoking habit once and for all by attending the FreshStart Smoking Cessation classes. This is a four week program with one class being held every Tuesday for 4 weeks. For more information, please call 843-674-2242.
